Dave Clement, President
Diamond Equipment traces its beginnings to 1969 when Terry Clement opened a Case Construction equipment dealership in Evansville, IN. He had been selling agricultural and construction equipment and embraced the opportunity to establish his own business.
Terry's son, Dave, grew up in the family business, spending summers working in the parts department. After playing professional golf for 5 years, Dave joined the sales team in 1985. By 1999, Terry was ready to retire. Dave took over the company and continues to use the same business principals he learned from his father.
A third generation has now joined the Diamond team, which are Dave’s two sons. After years of working in the parts department, Chase is now in charge of the telematics for all locations and is also in charge of Diamond’s social media. Travis was in charge of inventory control and is now a salesman at the Evansville location. Both Chase and Travis are excited about being a part of the Diamond Equipment team.
Over the years, the company has expanded to five locations. Whenever there was an area with service needs that was adjacent to one of their existing territories, Diamond extended its service area by opening a new location. They have always been fortunate in finding excellent managers who share the same sort of attitudes toward customers that the Clement family has—Simply treat customers as you would like to be treated, provide a high level of service, and always be honest and fair.
Like most successful family businesses, Diamond Equipment has a loyal group of employees who have been with the company for many years. They all strive to achieve zero downtime for their customers. The distinction between customer and friend has blurred while Diamond has been building its business, because they do treat customers the same way they treat friends—with kindness, consideration and respect.
Maintaining a policy of zero downtime, Diamond Equipment provides same day parts delivery and on-site service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Technicians undergo extensive training and are certified for any equipment they service. They routinely troubleshoot a situation to identify problems and quickly offer solutions to enhance your equipment's performance.
Diamond Equipment's core customer base began with smaller, mom and pop companies. Many of these companies have grown, as Diamond has, and customers now range in size from small startups to very large companies, many of which are second and third generation family businesses. Customers represent a wide range of businesses—construction companies, plumbing contractors, dairies, road builders, excavating contractors, utility contractors, landscapers, government agencies, quarries and aggregate processors, rental companies, farmers, recyclers and waste handlers, railroad and municipality crews, and all sorts of industries with warehouses and routine maintenance needs.
When the opportunity arose, Diamond Equipment expanded their equipment lines in ways that help customers with their businesses. The brands of equipment we carry include construction equipment from Case, Terex trucks, construction equipment from Hyundai and Takeuchi, Skytrak, Noram motor graders, Atlas Copco & Allied hydraulic hammers, and a wide variety of ground engaging tools and attachments.
